Essential oils used for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

People across the world are suffering from the problem of an autoimmune disease known as rheumatoid arthritis. The painful and inflammatory ailment of the joints is also referred as RA in common terminology. As of now there is no cure available for the disease but with proper treatment the pain can be managed and control the inflammatory response. Besides medications essential oils have been used for long for treating the condition. Here are some popular essential oils which can benefit in curing the disease.

Eucalyptus oil

The oil is derived from the leaf of Eucalyptus tree. The oil has many benefits for improving the condition of RA. It helps in reducing swelling, pain and inflammation. Medical researchers suggest inhaling the eucalyptus oil or pour few drops of the same in the warm water for bathing.

Frankincense oil

Frankincense oil is derived from the sap or resin of Boswellia tree. The oil has been part of the traditional medicine and has been used in curing diseases like chronic pain and inflammation. According to the research the acids in the oil help in reducing inflammation and also have analgesic properties.

Lavender oil
